Before we make a proposal to you, we will have developed a broad understanding of the requirements of your Internet project. For custom development and implementation, we will always develop a specification with you that describes in detail the way we will implement these requirements. Using this specification, Realty Web Designers can design the navigation system, develop an appropriate graphical "look and feel" which may be matched to an existing style, and include the content for the site or web application.

We quote a separate price for development of a detailed specification. As part of this specification, we can provide a carefully-assessed estimate of the time, effort and cost that would be required to deliver your project. This gives you the choice to proceed with the project in the form outlined in the specification or to make changes to fit your expectations or your budget.

Project management

Web Content Solutions works closely with you during the whole design and production process of your Internet project. With our extensive experience, we can apply the disciplines of commercial software development to your web project.

Once you have accepted the quotation or specification, a project plan is drawn up and agreed upon. To ensure efficient delivery, a project manager is appointed to oversee its efficient completion. We can then begin development where we implement what has been agreed.

..And to make things easier, this proposal is provided in an easy to access format available to your entire enterprise via the internet through our online demo views area.  By providing our estimates online, complete with utilites such as message boards and flow-charts, your team can collaberate and make changes during design time.

Project account pricing
Because a custom web site or web application is not an "out of the box" product with fixed features, project requirements often change as we discuss ideas, obtain feedback from you, or add extra features you require.  We provide your company with an exclusive message board for which our team will consult regularly.

Also, as both client and developer engage in a project, many alternative possibilities arise which the client may want to use in the site. It is rarely possible for a job of any complexity to anticipate everything technical that will be needed to implement a planned solution. 

Even minor changes to the specifications or project scope during the development phase can lead to confusion, constant order amendments, or unforseen additional development time, when a project runs on a fixed price basis. A number of minor changes can add up together to a significant extension of the original scope of the project.

For this reason, Realty Web Designers typically does not quote a fixed price for custom web development, but uses a Project Account.  This means that rather than a fixed price, we provide your company with our exclusive Active Estimate feature.  As changes are suggested, a running total, visible in real-time is displayed at the head of each Demo View page, along with the amount of time estimated for your project's completion.

In addition to your online account information, at appropriate intervals during the project (weekly or monthly), Realty Web Designers provides a summary report of the progress and the work undertaken against the original project specification. 

Technical support
Because the software systems that make up your web site are custom designed for your site, it is likely that once the web site is operating in a live environment, certain bugs or additional functionalities required may be identified. We therefore include in our agreement with you, a number of hours dedicated time if required over the first 30 days after the launch of your site.

After this time, we recommend that you establish a technical support and maintenance agreement with us. This is generally most economical if undertaken on a time and materials basis. We always provide an estimate of the time we expect that any bug fixes or additional work will take.

Third party customer support programs are also available to you.  We can support your client base with our customer support staff.
